Founded in 1993, nyImpact Youth Basketball League is run on a year-round basis, winter and summer. The league is for kids ages 4-17 years old regardless of experience or skill level. The league is held at Springfield Park in Springfield Gardens, Queens, N.Y.
Each Saturday and Sunday in June, the league conducts a FREE basketball clinic on the ABC's of the game. Teams are formed the first week of July via an NBA type draft lottery format. Every child that signs up will be selected on to a team. Each team member must play each game. Full uniforms/ T-shirt and shorts are provided to each participant.

The Action then heats up each weekend with league games on Saturday Mornings from 9am - 3pm and on Sundays evenings 3:00pm 8:00pm. Teams play a 10 game schedule, trades are allowed thru the first 4 games. Every team makes the play-offs. League play starts the first week of July and culminates with the playoffs the last weekend of August. Parents are welcome to sign up as volunteer coaches.
